self-assurance that they need to become self-sufficient.
Our purpose is to make the entire community more responsive to the needs and interests of the poor by mobilizing resources and bringing about greater institutional sensitivity.
We strive constantly to reduce the isolation of the poor and to improve communications between the poor and the community at large.
About
Foster Grandparent Program
This program includes volunteers who mentor and tutor children who have identifiable needs. The FGP volunteers mentor and guide students to higher academic achievement. They become role models to
students (children) with exceptional needs, and also mentor troubled teenagers and young mothers. The
FGP program provides the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on a path to a successful future, while reporting better health and longevity, having served their community.
